Tahzeeb Nx is a women's ethnic-wear label based in Nagpur. We curate unstitched dress material, Indo-western silhouettes, Pakistani designs, and co-ord sets — and we dispatch them across India. The catalogue is deliberately small; we'd rather stock thirty pieces we stand behind than three hundred we don't.
The word tahzeeb (تہذیب) is Urdu for culture, etiquette, a kind of refined manner. It doesn't translate cleanly into a single English word — it sits somewhere between grace, decorum, and how one carries oneself. We named the label that because clothes, at their quietest and best, are a way of doing the same thing.
Nagpur is a good home for a label like this. It is not a fashion capital, and we are glad. The pace is slower, the tailors are patient, and women here have worn ethnic for daily life, not for a photograph, for generations. We carry that into what we stock. Pieces you can wear to work, to a family dinner, to a wedding in winter — and the same piece, on a soft Sunday, at home.
We ship pan-India. We write our own product descriptions. We answer our own WhatsApp. If a piece disappoints you, we'll take it back — that's the etiquette the name asks of us, before it asks anything of a customer.
"Cloth that carries itself. Pieces that don't shout. A label that picks up the phone."
